The Epilepsy Foundation requests donations of clothing and household goods, which I guess they then sell in order to use the money for their work. They have truck pick-up, which can be more convenient than having to take something to the Goodwill drop-off site. I'm on their phone list because we have donated in the past, and got a call today. I agreed that we could put stuff out next week, and said I'd leave the goods on the front porch. The caller said that they no longer do that, and asked me to leave the bags at the end of the driveway. I said no, and asked him why they had changed their policy. That might have been an unreasonable question, because he's probably just a paid telephone person, but he ventured that it might have something to do with liability. I think that's the default assumption when something happens.
