So much death

I'm sorry about flood victims in North Carolna and Nepal. I'm sorry about Kris Kristofferson.
I am disproportionately sad about Gavin Creel and hate any kind of sarcoma. He gave my favorite-ever
Tony acceptance speech. The part thanking the people who donated a scholarship has stuck in my mind for years.

remind me to stop tidying

I had a visitor a couple of weeks ago. When I was getting ready I moved some stuff around, maybe so I could dust? In the case of my electric toothbrush charger, I have no idea where I put it. I've tried a half-dozen places without any luck.
I have non-electric toothbrushes. If I pretend that I don't care where the charger is, maybe it will reveal itself sooner or later.
I'm not really going to stop tidying entirely. I am still fiddling with re-sorting some of the dresser drawers. I was going to get rid of some of the long underwear of the past (I have at least half a drawer full), but maybe if I really keep the house cold this winter I'll want lots of long underwear.
Tooth-related, I tossed four or five tubes of toothpaste that were way past its expirations date. While I was at it, I tossed other things from the medicine closet, some as much as ten years old. It's an interesting thing about those dates. On a lot of food products, there is a sell by date and it's still OK to use later. With some kinds of medications the date actually is meaningful. Even sunscreen stops working well over time.
