It was not for my entertainment

Last night a Mexican training tall ship went under the Brooklyn Bridge (sort of), knocking down the masts. Of course there were passerby videos on Twitter almost in real time. I watched them, amazed, almost entranced at the images. This morning, learning that two of the sailors died, I am feeling guilty that my first thought was about how interesting it was to watch, not about the people on the ship.
