how did I miss this?
Aug. 7th, 2011 07:16 pmI had never heard of a cherpumple before today, when it appeared in the word column in the Globe, although supposedly it was an internet sensation in the past.
Here is the clearest photo I can find

I'm a big fan of pie, but this seems unnecessary, especially the frosting. What I found interesting is that it's a dessert in America with no chocolate component.
Tonight's pie substitute: apple butter with oats and walnuts, microwaved briefly. Not really much like pie, or even crumble, but better than nothing.
