For an online course I am taking, I need to make a web page that is more complicated than what one can do on Weebly, for example. I have signed up with a hosting service, and dutifully read (skimmed) the terms of service before clicking the button.  This is one of them
>>24.1.1. You represent and warrant to A Small Orange that: (i) you have the experience and knowledge necessary to use the Services; (ii) you will provide A Small Orange with material that may be implemented by it to provide the Services without extra effort on A Small Orange's part; and (iii) you have sufficient knowledge about administering, designing, and operating the functions facilitated by the Service to take advantage of it.<<

Right now, I know nearly nothing, but the plan is to learn that kind of stuff. Soon.  I clicked it, hoping it will be true in the future.

We had two groups of about six kids each, then one with her mom, then a group of three.  More than usual, on a somewhat rainy night.  We gave out a few snacks, a number of books (happy to be participating in All Hallow's Read http://www.allhallowsread.com/ ), and $2.50 - I offered the kids 50 cents each if they didn't want any books or food that we offered.   For a while, I worried that we wouldn't have enough stuff to give out. After rummaging through the fridge,  I learned that my entire stash of Cliff bars is past the sell-by date, so I didn't add those to the bowl.  I ate one from 2011.  It tasted fine.    The really massive trick or treating took place this afternoon in Lexington Center - most of the businesses give out treats.  I went for a while as a spectator.  Most of the costumes seemed store-bought, but there were some homemade.  Many of the business owners handing out candy were also in costume, including the woman at the craft store who was wearing a fake Red Sox beard, but the guys from my bank were wearing suits, dressed up to be bank managers, I guess.  They looked earnest but serious.
