interesting perspective about DST

There is always a lot of grumbling (and apparently tangible bad effects)about the time change. On the other hand, yesterday at church someone remarked that it was his favorite Sunday of the year. He didn't repeat the standard news report thing about getting an extra hour of sleep. I haven't found that to be true - nobody tells the birds or the sun to give us an extra hour of sleep. But he claimed that it was like being given an extra unscheduled hour - no obligations for that one extra hour, just a chance to "breathe." In some sense it really is a 25 hour day. I hadn't thought of it that way.
