coincidences
May. 22nd, 2018 09:52 pmI had not planned to watch Harry & Meghan's wedding, but after tuning in to listen to the bells beforehand, we just carried on. I was pleased with "Stand by me" as a choice (I liked all the music, actually), but on Sunday morning I started to wonder whether "Lean on me" might be almost as good. Then I went to church and a group of 10th graders sang "Lean on me" during the Coming of Age service.
A few weeks ago, somebody on history twitter mentioned the book "Black Walden," so I requested it from the library and began reading it

Also Sunday morning, in the announcements, I learned that the book group was planning to discuss it Sunday evening, so I went. As far as I recall, I have never been part of a book group outside of required academic circumstances, even though it might be expected of someone with my demographic boxes. It was interesting.
My father has his money in Suntrust (due to a buy-out of his former bank), and I am a signer on his checking account. On the same day that NPR used Suntrust in particular to illustrate its story about the roll-back of part of Dodd Frank, https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2018/05/22/613390275/congress-to-undo-part-of-dodd-frank-easing-rules-for-mid-sized-smaller-banks
I got a letter from Suntrust saying that a "former employee" might have stolen some private information from client lists. I'm not too worried about it, because it didn't include birth date or SS number, but they list four states that have specific rights that one has in addition to the general ones. I don't know what midsize is, but Suntrust is definitely not a *small* bank.
