There is a ring of ten bells at a religious community in Orleans,Ma, on the Cape. Lots of ringers gathered there yesterday. Beforehand, a number of us hit the beach in Eastham. I waded in as far as upper thighs - the tide was out and it would have taken a lot longer to get under water, but it was a nice temperature. The ringing was well-organized, but it was a really beautiful day and the lawn next to the tower was possibly used even more than the bells. The snack table was constantly visited. Arthur got out his juggling bag and a number of people juggled, at least a little bit. Chatting. An impromptu game of (loosely speaking) baseball with a couple of the little kids.
