I will be at a concert (Sequentia! 8-11th centuries!) in Jordan Hall tonight, beginning at 8 PM. At the same time, elsewhere on the Green Line, the 7th (and final) game of the Stanley Cup play-offs will begin. Win or lose, mayoral pleas notwithstanding, some sort of ruckus will probably break out at the end of the game. Will I be on the T at the time? Should I worry?
I planned to park at Alewife, because the last bus will leave before the concert is over. But there is baseball and hockey, so even if I find a space this afternoon, will I be able to get out of the scary parking garage? If I decide to take the bus inbound instead of the car, would I even be able to get a cab home at the end? I'd rather have the cabs be available for drunken people making the responsible choice not to drive.

Fun fact about the Columbus Blue Jackets (opponent of the Boston Bruins) - their name was suggested by a child during a contest when the team formed, and is in tribute to the Union Army. I asked Arthur's Ohio-based sister-in-law whether the soldiers played a lot of hockey, but that doesn't seem to be the point - it was to represent a general sort of patriotism, back in a time (1990s) that preserving the Union and getting rid of slavery might have seemed to be an OK thing. (close to sarcasm, sorry).
