dental update
Jun. 8th, 2021 10:10 amThe botched crown on #18 has been replaced with one that is the proper size and shape, which means that my bite on the left side is correct. The worrisome thing is that since the nub underneath is very small, I will have to avoid eating hard nuts or other hard things on that tooth for the rest of its life. The hygienist suggested eating sliced almonds instead of whole ones, and they do seem softer.
If you have dental insurance, get stuff done NOW. I have some coverage through Arthur's work (his insurance is paid for by work, he pays for mine). I didn't go into a dental office at all in 2020, so either because they usually do, or because of Covid, they rolled my 2020 coverage over into 2021. I'm sure it will be used - the next thing in the list is extracting #19 and maybe getting a bone graft. After that, fillings on the top of that side, and then in January, an implant for #19's hole. And there must be a routine cleaning in there somewhere.
