I regularly drive a friend to the Longwood medical area for treatments (and tests and stuff). It's only about a mile from there to the Museum of Fine Arts. I became a member when the Sargeant exhibit was there. I wandered over this morning while E was waiting for part three of her medical day. I got turned around, which is not atypical for me, so getting there on foot took longer than it should have. Saw the Islamic-themed art area, the photos of women members of the Black Panthers by Stephen Shames, walked through the exhibits that are closing this week (Miniatures, Matthew Wong), wandered into a few other rooms.
This evening I attended the second half of Science 101 at the Museum of Science. This live show (usually in NYC every couple of weeks) is an offshoot of the 2020 Dinosaur 101 Zoom broadcast I watched when it was happening, so I took the opportunity of seeing Dustin Growick and Kristina Gustovich, the hosts (plus other science educator guests). I missed the first half because we were ringing for a special service at Old North. The walk in the dark from ON to the MOS and thence to Lechmere busway turned out not to be scary at all.
So it sounds like I'm keeping busy with fun stuff, right? Well, yes. That still doesn't occupy enough of my mind to keep me from thinking about the Arthur situation most of the time. (four weeks today). What is more annoying is that the dream version of him shows up almost every night to twist the metaphorical knife some more. If my subconscious thinks that is helping, it is wrong. At its worst, I wake up with a start, heart pounding. On the almost plus side, these dreams do seem to have displaced my previous bad dream genre of getting lost and not being able to get anywhere. Those did not usually have as straightforward a solution as the walk this morning did IRL.
