lauradi7dw: stamp commemorating the emancipation proclamation (emancipation stamp)
I went to Boston for public reading of Frederick Douglass's oration "What to a slave is the fourth of July?'
I read three times. Maybe I should find another context for dramatically reading famous words with a microphone. I like it.

One of my selections was the same as one I read in 2018. It wasn't by choice - you just line up and take whatever you want, although there may have been people who were counting the selections and moving in the line to get their favorite

The Mass Humanities person pointed out that the original date was July 5th, but they were hoping that today's participants will talk about it at gatherings on the 4th, so they do it early. There are other opportunities, though.

I am not a Black citizen, but will be providing some volunteer backup for the flax demonstrations.
