Interim report; the world outside my body

Half-way through the medicated clearing-out. Took the first 12 large pills at 6 PM. I felt horrible most of the evening, but I did get some sleep, had some anxiety dreams, and now (8:05) feel almost normal, just in time to poison myself for the second round. Maybe that means that tomorrow will be an OK day.
I read nineweaving 's sad news about Heather Wood. The first song to pop to mind, oddly enough, was an original one called "Foolish, incredibly foolish." Went to Youtube. I don't use Google for regular search, so I didn't personally notice the ongoing worsening that other people have reported. But Youtube really was flailing in this case. It managed to parse "foolish" a bit and gave me multiple clips from "Crazy Rich Asians" as the first few choices. The song I wanted doesn't seem to be there. Three whole albums worth of Young Tradition are available, but I guess I will have to rummage around for the relevant LP when I feel better.

Done with that

I did actually throw up a lot this morning after the second dose, but not immediately, so at least some of it had time to work. The procedure itself went smoothly (so I was told. I was medically passed out). My colonoscopy doctor and nurse are regular maskers. My anesthesiologist put one on at my request. I left mine on, with the canula underneath. Hardly anybody else in the facility was masked*
I still felt a little lightheaded when I got home. Flo pointed out that I hadn't eaten anything in 48 hours, so I had breakfast (cereal, milk, nuts) and a cookie. I will need to go shopping tomorrow for veg and fruit.


*including Joe Biden, who was elsewhere, but has tested positive for Covid AGAIN. Not too surprising, I guess, considering his lifestyle.
