I burned something in the microwave (chocolate chips on rice cereal, if you need to know. Maybe there were walnuts? Did the oil burn? The first time I did this it didn't burn, but I'm not sure about the number of seconds in either case). Two windows in the kitchen were open, but only a couple of inches each. Now not just the downstairs but the whole upstairs smells of smoke. Also skunk, again. Does this say something about air circulation, or lack thereof? Hard to decide about having all the windows open or closed. Hard not to think about aerosolized disease bits in a building. So many of Harris's staffers are down with Covid now that they are worried about getting the work done for the next week. She's requiring her employees to be vaccinated, but seriously, wear masks. And don't burn things in your microwave. Interesting that the smoke detector in the next room had no complaints. I should remember to check the battery.
