lauradi7dw: me wearing a straw hat and gray mask (anniversary)
Has the fever broken? 9 hours after the most recent fever reducer, temp is 98.8. I still feel a little hot and light-headed, but this is probably a good sign. I tripped in the hall but didn't fall. Always good.
Pulse ox 96%, not so good. The throat situation doesn't seem to be improving. It occurred to me that maybe spit is collecting in my mouth because the pain-avoidance part of my brain is trying to keep me from swallowing, because it hurts. Even with a flashlight aimed at the back of my throat while I looked in a mirror, I couldn't manage to spray the Chloraseptic on the right spot. I tried soaking a Q-Tip with the fluid and wiping it on, but that triggered a bit of a gag reflex. I may try again later. I'm not showing signs of dehydration, but I am aware that I'm drinking less than usual.

I am a daily drinker of pasteurized milk. I had fresh-from-the-cow milk in my childhood a few times while visiting my mother's cousins on a dairy farm. There is no way I'd drink commercial raw milk, and I won't eat raw milk cheese.
This is a useful article that I think would have been better without attempts at snark.

I watched a documentary about the international women's peace movement work toward reunifying North and South Korea, or at least formally ending the war. The film was mostly about the Women Cross DMZ event in 2015. At the end was a follow-up of things that happened after. I guess I ignored pretty much everything Donald Trump said, so I had forgotten, if I ever knew, that he went to make a deal trading an end to sanctions for a stopping the nukes. It didn't happen.

I know that for some people a temperature under 100 is hardly worth noting, but maybe because I am so rarely sick, I can feel the difference. Does it make sense that my upper lip feels hot?
