I'm not normally a praying person

For Flo and the fetuses, I've been sending a regular stream of vague positive vibes. I don't actually believe that specifically targeted prayers work or even should - that might make a deity take sides, after all.
I sometimes say a blessing over food, but that's as much to express general gratitude as anything.
But I'm considering making an exception today for Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen, who is flying (on a commercial flight) to El Salvador to find out for himself what can be done to retrieve Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
We already know from his visit the other day that El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele is all in on keeping the people we shipped there. There is no interest in due process from him or from our current administration.

Isn't this town known for education?

This weekend will be the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's ride, the battles at Lexington and Concord, blah blah blah. I enjoyed some of the activities in 2000 for the 225th - there was a large encampment up at what is now the soccer field, with period-style tents and stalls selling linen and other goods, etc. Interesting, not violent (in that case). There is a re-enactment of the battle every year, so I don't really understand why thousands of extra visitors are expected, but there are many designated areas that are off-limits to cars.
Many streets will be closed, so I am a bit worried about how to get into Boston on Saturday for my regular stuff (after trying to run a 5 mile race first). There is a designated alternate stop for my usual bus, but I've looked at the closures and can't figure out how the bus will get there. I'll find out, I hope.
Signs like the one depicted above (which is in front of my house) are all over the place, all grammatically incorrect.
