lauradi7dw: me wearing a straw hat and gray mask (anniversary)

The Stop and Shop package for dried split yellow peas says no pre-soaking or pressure cooking is required, just bring to a boil and them simmer for up to half an hour. Maybe the S&S test kitchen and I have a different idea of what done is for yellow peas, but I feel that I should have used the pressure cooker.
What I really wanted was a conveniently located Ethiopian restaurant serving outdoors but nah. While I'm goofing I may end up using pancakes instead of injera.

update:
thinned pancake batter cooked on the toaster oven tray. No teff flour involved.
