celebrations
Jan. 6th, 2008 06:48 pmHere we are at the end of Christmas, and I was going to eat my stocking orange. Too late - it has gone soft and moldy.
On the other hand, a friend's birthday was successfully celebrated. Every year he hosts a candlepin bowling party. It's usually the one time a year I bowl, and I'm not good at it. During the first game I scored 51, which was very exciting. In the second game my score was 45, but that's misleading, due to an amazing event. The lane next to ours had a pin lodged in the gutter next to our lane. A gutter ball hit it with enough force that the ball bounced into our lane and knocked down several of my pins. I took that as my second roll, and carried on.
