WGBH is running some sort of announcement (can't call them ads, I guess) about Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness month, but every time I heard it today they just called it Sudden Cardiac Awareness. Is this what happens after exertion? You become aware of your heart?

After hours of fighting (unsuccessfully) with Excel 2007 trying to make graphs ("charts") for a lab report I quit, wrist-aching and nearly in tears. It's good to be reminded that there is also pleasure in learning. I've been taking unreasonable interest in the student presentations about joint or tendon injuries. My favorite so far was about distal bicep ruptures, but the one today was good too.
One of the people presenting had had the injury, acromioclavicular separation. It was years ago and he feels that it healed stronger than before, but he has a permanent bump at the site. His doctor suggested that he could have plastic surgery on it if he ever decides to become a model. How odd.
