I first encountered it in 1991 or 1992, I think, from a print-out of Alan Rickman's films handed to me by ringer Mary Burke. At that time that I was taking the commuter rail to Arthur's office once a week to read posts to alt.tv.x-files (no computer at home, not a whole lot of internet, really) and there was stuff from the IMDb in the FAQ there as well. It's been a regular part of my life ever since.
