Our kinesiology lab reports are done in small groups, and we take turns doing the different parts. This week it was my turn to do the intro and the outro and compile the other parts from different people. I had it all printed and pretty and ready to go when I got an email from the results person saying that she thought the discussion part needs more work. It's probably true, but I'm drawing a blank about what to add, which was also true for the person who wrote it. My plan for the evening had been to study for a test, but now I'm fretting about the lab report and what I'm really doing is reloading the AP electoral vote map over and over again, even though my usual claim is that no national results should be reported until folks in Hawaii get a fair chance to vote. I'm desperately hoping that Obama will win, but I can't hold back the quadrennial disgust at the electoral college system. How does it make any sense that Obama only has a tiny edge in the popular vote but more than three times as many electoral votes? (yes, I know how the system works. I don't approve).
