The coincidence of the day was reading reviews of two different movies ("Good" and "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas") in different locations, written by different people, each of which complained that all the Nazis in the respective movies talk like upper class Brits. I don't understand the problem here. In both cases they're played by classically trained British actors, so why shouldn't they talk like that? I don't think any subtle indictment of people who speak that way is intended. It's much better than the case of the made for TV "The Plot to Kill Hitler" (1990) in which every single character was German. All of the actors except Rupert Graves used their regular accents, but for some reason he had the sort of accent one might imagine a German using while speaking English. How ridiculous is that?
