E Wein, Neil Gaiman, Mark Twain
Nov. 17th, 2008 06:48 pmI noticed in this interview with E Wein (
eegatland) that she's taken to writing in a garden shed (or whatever one wants to call it)

Longhand. I immediately thought of Neil Gaiman, doing the same thing at the bottom of a different garden several thousand miles away, and then thought of Mark Twain, ditto

My first thought was that in addition to the obvious difference about Twain being dead and the other two thankfully still living and writing, he didn't go back into the house and write a blog. Then I started to wonder whether in retrospect any of his many news stories, dispatches, short writings etc might count.
