The traditional kids' song for Seollal (The Korean version of today's new year holiday) starts off talking about magpies. I am not sure I've listened to any other song by Monsta X, but I like this video from 5 years ago that youtube offered me when I typed in Seollal.

In other Kpop news, I did stop by an event at Gong Cha in Davis Square today, one of many in the area* I don't know about the others, but this one was mostly devoted to buying/selling or trading photocards of Kpop idols. I only bought one, for a dollar, from a vendor who had hand-made a random card dispenser. I wouldn't have hoped for I.N from Stray Kids (and I'm not responsible for his stage name) but now I have another object that I have to put somewhere. I suppose that somewhere could be the recycle bin, but not yet. He is the maknae of the group. 막내 means youngest of any group, not just singers, as far as I know, but it always gets mentioned in lists of the individuals in a Kpop group. There were several skins colors and two male-appearing fans at the gathering, but nobody within 30 years of my age, I'd guess.
