lauradi7dwWe have no Persian connections, so don't have Nowruz favorites, but I looked up traditional dishes and chose
soup.
Asheh Reshteh is traditionally vegetarian, which is a plus.
Not to say that we didn't alter the recipe to make it fit what we had in the house - I left out the mint, cilantro, and parsley, substituted whole wheat spaghetti for the Persian noodles, and didn't thicken it with flour. It was yummy.
