A friend of a friend rented a beach cottage alone for a month when her husband left her. That doesn't appeal to me, but what if I *do* go to Korea on my own? I have decided to give it a month for prep (really working on Korean, building up my jogging up hills mileage, etc.). If it still seems like a thing I could do, I will buy tickets for mid-late June. That seems like the best time. Warm enough to not need a lot of layers and to be able to eat in parks all the time (I'm still not eating indoors at restaurants). Before the heavy rains of late July and August. Before WWIII or US election violence.

The idea of traveling alone has always been intriguing to me. I've never done it, not even just a lone road-trip (aside from traveling alone TO a destination to meet someone). But traveling for more than a day, by myself, with myself. I like the idea of that.
