Nixon resigns

Fifty years ago today. After work I put on nicer clothes and went to a friend's parents' house in Newton to watch the resignation speech on TV. Then friends and I went to Cabots for hot fudge sundaes.

Edit: I had the thought of reaching out to D and saying that I remember the day. We haven't been in touch since some time in the early 1980s. probably, but I found an email address online that might still work. Is that stalkerish?

I don't think it's stalking to reach out to somebody, especially if you have some particular memory that is spurring it like this, even if you had to poke around on the Internet to try to find them. Reach out, they might be pleased.

I vote not too stalkerish. A few years ago, I did something similar to reach out to the person who taught me to make Mexican food like his grandmother in an IAP class, just to let him know it was something I still used, all these years later. We caught up briefly, and then went on with our separate lives. I think it made both of us smile. As long as there are no expectations on either side, it can work.
