Summer in the city

lauradi7dwI'm not in a city, right now. I'm in my house, directly under the ceiling fan. OK so far. But most of my thoughts today are about NYC, hoping that voters turn out (and don't pass out *) to vote for Zohran Kwame Mamdani. There have been a few times in the past that I posted John Hartford singing "Long hot summer day" (the first apparently in 2007, when I actually *was* in NYC) but today my thoughts have been on the Sesame Street neighborhood of New York (second time I've posted it today, in fact)
* Last night's Stray Kids outdoor concert in DC was cut short because members of the audience were fainting from the heat.
PS as is often the case, f*ck longtime creep Bill Clinton, who endorsed Cuomo, for crying out loud.
