The United States is no longer part of the World Health Organization. In response, California has become part of WHO’s Global Outbreak Alert & Response Network. The Trump administration is acting like they are going to bring back polio. It's a disheartening time to be someone who cares about public health.

My twitter feed has been full today of people from around NATO honoring their soldiers who died in Afghanistan after war criminals George W Bush and Dick Cheney asked for help. Trump yesterday said that our allies hung back and didn't go to the front lines. Not true.

Belligerent isolationism, I guess.
