Friends were in the Tanglewood festival chorus in the late 1970s. The version of TT they used was Twinkletoes, not Tilson-Thomas. What a goofy thing for me to remember after five decades. As usual, fuck cancer, especially glioblastoma.

I kept forgetting and rediscovering that he was descended from the Thomashefskys. His memory for a blessing.

I’m so very grateful that gridlore and I got to see him with Metallica at S&M 2. (Edwin Outwater was the primary conductor for the shows, but MTT took to the podium for the two classical orchestral pieces of the night, and then joined Metallica on keyboards near the end of the show.)

I had not heard before today that his husband died in February, or of the accident that ultimately led to his passing.

May all who loved him find comfort in memory.
