I do not object to the sweaters that are part of the US athletes' marching uniforms for the winter Olympics, although they are garish.  Someone interviewed on NPR pointed out that the people in the cheap seats at the top of the stadium will be able to recognize them right away.

I was actually a little perturbed by the boots, but I don't wear leather.   I thought of buying such a sweater to be supportive, especially since they're made in the USA, but I can't - they're for the athletes.  The garments being sold in solidarity are pretty boring.   http://www.teamusashop.com/
presumably nothing will top the Norwegian curling team outfits, though
