I don't normally bother to record my dreams, but there were two last night that I think are worth mentioning. The one I liked a lot - the scenario was the entryway of a grocery store where there was a child (maybe 18 months? a small 2 year old?) in the seat of a shopping cart. The mom was sort of pulling the cart through the door. Flo and I were entering behind them. The child, who was dripping cream cheese, started singing "Belleville Rendez-vous" while, eventually, we assisted by tapping on the metal bars in the shopping cart.

I injured myself, somewhat mysteriously, while running a week ago. I was fine and then I wasn't. It's only somewhat mysterious, because it's my right leg, and running injuries in the past have almost always been my right leg, so there is some underlying imbalance, probably. I'm scheduled for a race in a couple of weeks, having paid the registration early in the summer. Of course I should not even consider it, but it's on my mind quite a bit, including in my sleep. In the dream, I showed up on the morning of the race covered with the kind of tape that one uses for bandages (which I'd tried out earlier in my parents' TV room), ready to try to run. And then some of my teeth fell out. I've had various running injuries, including a face bruise from tripping on a root and falling, but I don't think I've ever worried about losing teeth. Who knows where that came from.
