All shall be well again
Jan. 5th, 2020 06:56 pmI don't actually believe that, but Julian of Norwich said that she did. I started singing with Anabel Graetz due to a Balkan singing class at the original Porter Square site of the Music Emporium, probably in 1977. Regularly for years, than only once or twice a decade, I guess. This evening she presided over a 12th night gathering, starting at 4:30, so darkness fell while we were listening and singing and lighting candles and such. I observe lots of holidays and have a shirt with suns and moons that I wear on the solstices and equinoxes, but I am mostly skeptical about claims made about religion in Ireland and the British Isles before Christianity. It doesn't matter. I went in hoping for "Please to See the King" and "Bells of Norwich," and got them, and a mummer's play and hot cider as well.
