Drive my mother's car (which is essentially my NC car, because they don't drive) to the remote parking lot
Take a cab
Take public transportation. The thing about this is that their nearest bus stops are about a mile in either direction, and the main bus station from which one gets the bus to the regional bus place for the bus to the airport is just over three miles. I go on foot, usually, but today I decided to take a cab to the bus station. Except I waited too late. The yellow cab dispatcher said they couldn't help me, and gave me another company's number. The person who answered there said that she couldn't promise a 1:40 pickup, because "all the drivers are at the mosque." Without thinking, I said "oh, it's Friday," and finished the call. I was glad that in such tense times, she felt comfortable telling me that it's an all-Muslim cab service (presumably), instead of just saying it wasn't feasible. Maybe it's that many people in that area are upfront about their religion all the time. The cashier at the bagel place in the terminal wished me a blessed flight. I thanked her.
