There's been a thing on twitter (and presumably elsewhere) complaining about the multitude of things that seem to be piling on. There's the Covid-19 stuff, but also Cyclone Amphan in East India and Bangladesh and earthquakes every day in Puerto Rico (which is nowhere near recovered from the hurricane or from the Trump administration in general) https://earthquaketrack.com/p/puerto-rico/recent
I already posted about my tick paranoia.* Yesterday it dawned on me that it's about mosquito season (I've only had one bite so far) and it's time to be terrified about Eastern Equine Encephalitis.

2019 was a really bad summer for it in New England, although nobody I knew was affected. Can we predict that this summer will be worse? Seems like it should be.

*This morning I remarked to Arthur that I was putting on my new permethrin-imbued socks before going out to cut the grass and stuff. He claimed permethrin was not a word, and I was making it up. What? Fortunately both the tag on the socks and the web agreed with me, but what?
