We do have some sense of cause and effect. The casinos in Las Vegas reopened on June 4th, and now cases are spiking. They have belatedly started requiring masks at some areas, but not all

A much bigger case that is so obvious that the experiment is not needed (but will happen anyway) is tonight's pep rally in Tulsa. DJT himself has acknowledged that some people will get sick. The local employees the center usually uses will not be working. The RNC is requiring waivers of liability, but nobody is making the passersby of Tulsa sign anything, so we're just waiting for the lawsuits.
I would like clear footage of droplets flying by, but probably won't get that.
