stuff from the sky

I didn't mention last Sunday (the 9th) that we had 5+ inches of snow that I needed to move (for auto-worship purposes. Clearing the walk enough for the letter carrier only takes little time). Another 6 inches last night overnight, then rain started while I was clearing. I spend almost three hours this morning, didn't make it to ringing. I need to drive a friend to a couple of medical appointments this week, and if I didn't clear it before the temperature drops again, I might not be able to get out. I was planning to go to a BIDA dance (mask required) tonight, but right now I don't feel like leaving the house again.

Speaking of weather - I met a friend and her husband and youngest grandchild at the mall on Friday because we felt it was too icy and windy to do our usual walk outdoors. There were clearly other people walking laps of the mall, but we were not engaging in purposeful strides, with a toddler walking occasionally and then a couple of forays into stores holding going-out-of-business sales. I had not planned to buy any new clothes for myself this year, but bought a pair of fleece-lined leggings, very much marked down. I'm not sure I even knew they existed before seeing a store full of them, but someone at ringing yesterday also mentioned owning some. The brand name of mine is "Just Cozy." They are indeed.
