Maybe not, but my influence has been felt, anyway. Florence is scheduled to come east for Thanksgiving. Her plan is to bring an almost empty suitcase, and take it back filled with fabric from the attic. She also mentioned in passing that she's started buying vintage patterns off of Ebay. There's a warm feeling of mother-daughter solidarity about all this. (as opposed to Arthur's reaction, which was "when does she have time to sew?")
