There is no public transportation to Lexington on Sundays, so I often drive (occasionally bike) to Arlington Heights and get the bus to the T from there. I did so this morning. I rode back home with Arthur after he was done juggling and we attended part of a concert at MIT. Home being the operative word, where we noticed that my car was not in the driveway. Because it was at Arlington Heights, past which we had just driven. Argh. Trying to salvage something from the extra trip, we parked half-way and walked the rest, a very pleasant evening for it.
Other irritating thing of the day - my desk chair has decided that the lowest height setting is the only one it will tolerate now. It will go up to the higher spot I prefer, but once I sit on it, it sinks down. Phooey.

Gosh, I used to *walk* to Arlington Heights, and back, and we lived nearly a mile further out -can't say as I exactly enjoyed it though.

Before we had two cars, I sometimes pushed a stroller the whole way and back. The goofiest Sunday trip I remember was a trip to the Burlington Mall, in which I rode my bike, child in seat on the back, to Arlington Center, got the 350 bus to the mall, and then reversed it. I think if I had realized that it's only 4 miles from home to the mall, I would have put her in the backpack and walked there, but in my mind at the time the mall seemed remarkably farther than Arlington.

I've walked and biked to the Mall too. It's a remarkably dangerous trip. You did better taking that bus.
