why study when the internet is there?
May. 12th, 2009 07:47 amI turned on the computer so I could type out some Psych notes. I am very worried about that final - it's supposed to be short essays that are essentially trying to diagnose people from brief descriptions of signs and symptoms he will give us. That's what people are supposed to do to become board certified psychologists, not pass an intro Abnormal Psych course. Sheesh. I wonder if we'll use blue books - I haven't done that in a long time, but some of the exams Arthur gives use them.
Instead, I've been following threads and that kind of stuff, and have discovered this guy. Laughing out loud. Forwarding insightful vids, like this one.

Not, in fact, studying. His general youtube page

Also, not from the internet but also not Abnormal Psych, the heading of a thing Marian Wright posted in her Spelman dorm in 1960, when lunch counter sit-ins were starting:
Young Ladies Who Can Picket, Please Sign Below
As good a refutation of the bumper sticker that showed up decades later ("Well-behaved women rarely make history") as I can think of. Heck - in 1960, they might have been wearing hats and gloves while picketing. I should look that up.
