Another first in my returning to school experience. I don't know when it will be made up. I suspect on the reading day before finals, or maybe at this point in the semester they'll just
forget about replacing it. I'm relieved not to have to drive out Route 3 in the muck - it has turned to drizzle in Lexington, but in Lowell it's still snowing, according to the internet.
How convenient some things are now. I remember sitting by the radio when Florence was little, listening to the lightning fast alphabetical reading of school closings. No need any more.
Arthur felt that I should do some kid-like snow activity (as opposed to the adult snow activity we* already did, clearing the driveway and sidewalk of 3 inches of wet snow so that it won't become ice overnight), so here's the evidence. Can you tell it's a UMass Lowell hat?

* We. It's been 3 years since the elbow surgery and I still am regularly grateful (like every Sunday, when he juggles) that it worked, but sometimes it hits me with even more force - for years, he couldn't do stuff like shovel snow, and now he can.
