If you have half an hour (the suggested reading time), I strongly advocate reading this article
The Slow Troubling Death of the Autopsy

It has been a long time since I regularly watched Sesame Street, but the influence is still there. I was in the shower longer than necessary this morning, and began singing about being a wasteroo, even though I don't do most of the wasteful things.

Members of my knitting group were shocked that when my sister requested that a ballot be sent to my mother, she didn't also request one for my father. He has dementia, and sleeps most of the time. We all agree that he would vote for Biden (against Trump, anyway) if he had the same opinions as in the past. Both parents voted in person in 2016 (curbside, in a service provided for people with handicapped placards), strongly supporting Clinton, but I don't think he has been (could have been?) keeping track this time. He rarely is out of the bed, and can no longer write. I haven't looked up what ADA accommodations NC has for people who are physically unable to use a ballot. He can still talk, so would we be allowed to take dictation? NC requires a witnessed signature for mail-in voters. There must be some way. I definitely would only want to do it if we were sure that he wanted to vote.
