I don't know what I was doing reading an essay on Yahoo anyway, but the expression "the intrinsically feminist Internet" stood out. According to the blurb about Virginia Heffernan's writing background, she has covered the internet for a variety of reputable publications for years. Is she mostly reading certain subsections and not much else? Also intrigued by the sentence "The jokes about that make their own selves."
