lauradi7dwPossibly not the kindest wording - Wheelchair athlete: "I was glad when I heard Olympic 5k & 10K runners complaining about shin splints because that means the track is hard. The wheelchair times will be very fast."
Watching the opening ceremony in bits.
Cool sight - guide dog in a contingent. Normally there is a quarantine period before bringing pets into the UK - I presume there was a special arrangement in this case. The Olympic horses had to each have a personal vet in attendance.
The Czech contingent was wearing matching rubber boots - a humorous nod to London weather?
