One of the commonplace rules about emptying one's home is "If you haven't worn it/used it for [some period of time between six months and two years], give it away."  Arthur's follow-up to this is that if it turns out to have been necessary, you could buy another one.  I'm not sure I could buy another pair of brown, beige, and red argyle tights.  I'm wearing them now, because I can, but they are in fact a little tight, as one might expect from a garment I presumably bought twenty years ago.  The pile is a pile of old tights, part of the earlier go through old socks project that got stalled.

There are totally places to buy brown, beige, and red argyle tights.

Good to know. I put them in the Goodwill bag, but the ancient hosiery project continues. I am currently wearing some eggplant-colored leggings from pre-Flo days. The waistband elastic is shot, but they are staying up OK around the house.
