I'm graphically challenged, I guess.  I can't tell exactly where in North America this will be visible, but it's irrelevant here - otal cloud cover for days

I'm pretty familiar with the nasa eclipse sites; I'm planning a trip to eastern oregon in August 2017 to see the total eclipse then, which will only be partial in Boston. Eastern Oregon is in the path and it is a desert so it will probably be visible. Not to be confused with western oregon, which will be in the path, but where it will rain.

Anyway, it looks like the sun will be setting during the partial eclipse today, so it won't be at all useful, and we'd only get a sliver obscured so we would hardly be able to tell, even if it were high in the sky.

I used this link to determine this information, which I got by clicking randomly around on Nasa's site.: http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/OH/OHtables/OH2014-Tab05.pdf

Apparently including a link in comments gets them marked as spam or something. Hopefully it will have at least shown you the comment, or you would be able to look at it and unmark it.
