Not today, at least. In an otherwise entirely clear sky, there was a band of clouds just over the horizon in the west at & after sunset. I'll try again tomorrow, and maybe try to find a view of the horizon that is more aesthetic than the bridge over 128. At least the 10X50 binoculars had an outing, even if they didn't make it out of the case. We bought them in 1982 to view Halley, in all its "fuzzy garbanzo bean" glory. The stay-around-for-months-naked-eye comets like Hale-Bopp and Hayakutake didn't need them, and we have little binoculars for non-comet purposes.
