The web has lots of videos of dance scenes set to music that is the correct tempo but not the original music for that dance. I've watched loads of them, including an entire channel of Soviet soldier dancers set to current (more or less) music. I think this may have been the best job ever

As we watched it this morning, I couldn't bring the non-Fred dancer's name to mind. What I said to Arthur was "she's the one who glows, not sweats." He got the reference immediately. I have talked to Sorcyress about my worries that I am losing some memory, but what does it say that I misplaced someone's name (it's Rita Hayworth) but could remember a quotation from Orson Welles about her?
Or maybe a supposed quotation - when a reporter asked about sweating during a dance rehearsal, OW said "Miss Hayworth doesn't sweat. She glows." I can't find a source for it right now.

In general one starts to worry when procedural memories won't work. So actually this is a case of your memory working very well - you forgot the fact but remembered exactly how to elicit it from someone else - displaying not only your own procedural memory but procedural memory about Arthur's procedural memory :)

Okay so dance videos are my absolute *kryptonite*, especially compilation ones.

I assume you saw the really excellent compilation to Shut Up And Dance that went around the internet four or five years ago? It is, in my opinion, the gold standard.

I should watch more Astaire though. He really was all that, and his partners at least as good!
