On February 29th, I left my iPad, in its worn purple case, in a tray at the TSA security area at ATL. I filed a report when I got home, got a couple of "sorry, can't find it" reports, and assumed it was gone. Last Friday (the 27th), I got a cell phone call from an unidentified number. Unless I can't get to the phone in time, I always answer it. A lot of times it's spam, but on Friday, I said Hello. The person identified herself as the Atlanta Airport. I said "Have you found my pad!!??" She said yes. It had been turned in almost immediately, and been sitting around for almost a month. She is apparently the person who looks at stuff right before it's been a month and it gets trashed. She thought to take the pad out of the case. My phone number is painted on the back in black fingernail polish. She called it, I went to the specified site to pay Fedex to send it back, and this afternoon it appeared on my porch. Yay! Yay!
