The TV is eavesdropping on us
Jun. 14th, 2020 10:06 amWe don't have Alexa or any of its ilk, and supposedly, Arthur has set it so that Siri is not listening on his phone or the pads. That may not be enough. After weeks of an hour a day, more or less, yesterday we finished "Rookie Historian Goo Hae-Ryung," a Korean costume drama set in the early 19th century.

Netflix keeps suggesting other things, made in Korea but set in our time. A friend came up with another one she thought we'd like. I forgot its title, and asked Arthur. From the time he said "Mr. Sunshine" until its blurb showed up on the screen was a matter of a few seconds. Really. I think there is some way of doing audible searches, but I didn't think we had it set up - I laboriously go letter by letter when I'm searching. That was pretty unnerving. Also, we watched the first ten minutes of it and decided it didn't suit us at all.
